Lewes #doortrait. Rotten Row. Pretty much my dream house - and in my dreams it will stay, ha! Such a beautiful morning in Lewes today... hope everyone is having a lovely day! 💚
It was the warmest day of the year today. We took a walk up Chapel Hill and out onto the Downs. All the way up our two-year-old kept stopping to look at the view over Lewes and to repeatedly say “Wow” - so sweet. Isn’t it just amazing up there? The perfect soul food. What is your favourite spot on the South Downs? . . #lovelewes #lucky #thegoodlife #simplepleasures #slowliving #nature #soulfood #natureforthesoul #warmestdayoftheyear #sussex #southdowns #southdownsnationalpark #sdnp #nourishingthesoul #walks #thebestthingsinlifearefree #thebesthibgsinlife #familylife #familytime #family
Playing Pooh Sticks on Pooh Bridge in the Ashdown Forest today as well as a bit of just walking about in the forest (this apparently has a new term: ‘forest bathing’ and is excellent for your mental health so I’m obviously feeling particularly mentally stable this evening). Haven’t been for many years and now can’t wait to go back. Need to try the actual (3 hour) Winnie the Pooh trail at some point! Has anyone else out there done this??
It’s crazy to think that I was just 19 when I left my Sussex home for London and even crazier to think that 17 years went by in the capital before I made the move back (with Will and 2.5 kids in tow!) Bee Aspinall has invited me to write my story of leaving London to return to Sussex to raise my family on her website Life After London (@lifeafterlondon_bee). It’s a totally honest and personal account including the pros and cons (all views my own of course) of life in Lewes compared to London and I’d love you to read it! Follow the link in my bio for the full story and let me know what you think! 📷 by @adelaideturnbullstylist . . . #lifeafterlondon #leavinglondon #movingtothecountry #countryside #countrylife #countryliving #lewes #beautifullewes #lovelewes #sussex #eastsussex #southdowns #sdnp #southdownsnationalpark #exlondoner #qualityoflife #qualityoflifematters #doitforthekids #slowliving #slowlivingforlife #nature #atonewithnature #lifeinthecountry
Such a treat to see a sold-out showing of ‘Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist’ at the @lewes_depot last night followed by a Q&A with the super-talented, Lewes-based director of the film Lorna Tucker. A brilliant film - go and see it! #lovelewes
I am a big fan of @sideline_ww, the fashion label of thoughtfully designed and understated women’s clothing, designed by the super talented Ellen Brookes of Lewes. I have been lucky enough to be featured in interview for Ellen’s ‘Sideline Muses’ blog. Click the link in the Sideline bio to read more!
